Vanessa is a horror author with a background in law enforcement, social work and psychology.A Whisper in the Shadows is her debut novel.She draws inspiration from horror authors such as Stephen King, Anne Rice, and the cult horror films she grew up watching. Drawing on her background in psychology, Vanessa explores the shadows of the human mind through unsettling, atmospheric stories. Her short fiction has appeared in several publications, and she continues to write in order to bring the many stories living in her head onto the page.

This is a project currently under development. The story will include elements of Balkan folklore, witchcraft, body horror, and gore.Even though the story will take place in the universe of Whispering Creek, it will follow a different set of characters, and it will not be taking place on Halloween unlike A Whisper in the Shadows, but on Christmas time.
